Winter of 2013-4 has seen multiple transformative events in the life of the Lab.
In the Outside World, the renowned technologist Twallan announced his retirement from NRaas Industries, stimulating the formation of a collective to protect and advance his inventions at NRaas.
Here at home, as Sims take increasing responsibility for our own institutions, a generous gift from the Nancy and Geoffrey Landgraab Foundation has allowed the former Landgraab Industries Science Facility to transition to full-fledged National Laboratory status. This change will allow the Lab to expand into new scientific fields, and to launch new collaborations with other institutions.
